Volunteer to be a Room Parent The Important Role of Parents in K-6 Classrooms ​ Every K-6 classroom has a Room Parent responsible for coordinating classroom volunteers, collaborating on donations, organizing volunteers and supplies for class parties, and assisting with other classroom needs as they arise throughout the year. ​ To sign up as a Room Parent for the year, parents can register at Back to School Night. Communication is paramount, so it's crucial to register to be on the Room Parent Contact list. We value and appreciate the effort and assistance provided by our Room Parents throughout the year. ​ If you have any questions about the role of a Room Parent, please contact our Room Parent Coordinator, rp@foothillselementarypta.com Contact Room Parent Coordinator Room Parents Room Parent Orientation Meeting Save the date for a Room Parent Orientation Meeting on Friday, August 26th at 1:30pm in the school cafeteria. At 2:15pm, following the orientation you will have an opportunity to meet with your teacher and ask questions and form a plan for how you can start assisting as the Room Parent, during Chips N' Chat.
